The day has come!
I have spent the last few days packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking, and a little more repacking. Mom and dad will finally get their living room floor back!
My bag is just BARELY under the weight, so dad is going to come with me to see if I need to quickly toss stuff back to him to make the weight correct.
Mom and I went through and figured out what time Nebraska time I would be landing in Uganda. It will be about 2:50 NE time (so 1:50 NM time) on Thursday afternoon. It is an hour drive from the airport to where I will be staying. I will also have to go through customs and get a visa, so it could be late before people know I am safe, but I will make it :).
Well, dad just finished my going away breakfast of eggs, onions, mushrooms, and peppers. I will try to post in Brussels!

18 more days...
There are 18 more days until I leave for UG!
To do a little more of a breakdown in time... 5 days until I get my last set of shots, 6 1/2 more school days with the kids, 7 1/2 more work days for me, 8 days until my parents come to NM to move me back, 13 days until I move head back to NE, 17 days until I meet with my future bosses, and 18 days until I leave for UG.

My latest round of vaccines were not as bad. I did however go in one Thursday to get my typhoid shot, and the nurse took the syringe out and said, "Oh... it looks like it escaped.." Hmmmmm that doesn't seem promising to me. Had to go back the next week and continue on my immunity to everything!
